One sentence to describe yourself and where you came from: Jamaican descent, from the east coast

What will you be presenting on? Talking about the multicultural (Indian, English, African) influences on Jamaican cuisine

Best piece of advice you ever got about cooking: Cookbooks can be a reference but you really have to learn by doing, especially helping elders who have been making the food since forever 

If you could only eat one meal forever, it would be: Probably rice & peas w/ plantain

Favorite food: Curry

Food you’d like to try: South African food since I have East & West African food fairly often
