One sentence to describe yourself and where you came from: Just this black American broad, a mixed up dead end path of the African diaspora.

What will you be presenting on? I'll be talking about Kale, and what happens when staple food becomes Superfood.

Best piece of advice you ever got about cooking: Don't learn to cook recipes, learn to cook.

If you could only eat one meal forever, it would be: My family's version of turkey dinner which includes all the famous turkey dinner stuff, plus stewed greens, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato pie, and pound cake.

Favorite food: Right now green leafy stuff

Best meal(s): Turkey dinners with the trimmings, shrimp and grits, summer meals that are all stuff from the farm stand, green beans, summer squash, corn on the cob, fresh sliced tomatoes with salt, boiled new potatoes with clarified butter.

Food you’d like to try: Most of them, with a side of the rest of them.
