One sentence to describe yourself and where you came from: Haya is a Sudanese-American born and raised in Western MN and now living in Portland.

What will you be presenting on? Kataif & Ramadan

Best piece of advice you ever got about cooking: Don't be a kitchen top

If you could only eat one meal forever, it would be: Breakfast, most definitely. If there were only breakfast sandwiches forever, I'd be p okay. Also, Thanksgiving dinner, wow.

Favorite food: Mansaf, the national dish of Palestine. And/or eggs and/or peanut butter.

Recommended reading: I've been having trouble focusing on reading so I'm revisiting my favorite books from my teenage years. It's really nice, you should try it.

Best meals: My sister made a Thanksgiving-style meal as my graduation present. My whole nuclear family was there, which is rare, and it was the best not-Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving dinner i've ever had. I'll never forget that turkey.

Food you’d like to try: I haven't had much Filipino food, but I'm trying to change that.
